How to Use This List

Trader Joe's

Fruit

  • Bananas (10-14)
  • Apples (6-8)
  • Oranges (6-8)
  • Lemons/Limes (4-6 total)
  • Frozen organic berries (2 bags)

Veggies

  • Romaine or spring mix (2 boxes)
  • Cucumbers (4)
  • Zucchini (4-6)
  • Bell peppers (4)
  • Cherry tomatoes (1-2 packs)

Natural Grocers

Fruit

  • Seasonal organic melons (1-2)
  • Pears (4-6)
  • Kiwi (4-6)
  • Mangoes (3-5)
  • Dates (1 container)

Veggies

  • Kale or collards (2 bunches)
  • Celery (1-2 bunches)
  • Avocados (4-6)
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro, parsley, basil)
  • Microgreens or sprouts (2 packs)

Local Farmers Markets

Fruit

  • Whatever is truly seasonal this week
  • Heirloom or seeded varieties first
  • Ripe fruit for immediate meals/snacks

Veggies

  • Leafy greens harvested same day
  • Cucumbers, squash, okra, eggplant (seasonal)
  • Onions and garlic for base prep
  • Ask growers what was picked in last 24 hours
